Granit Xhaka

Who would have thought that Xhaka-Elneny midfield partnership would have outclassed Chelsea and United

First half was ƖdegĆ„rd’s, second half was Xhaka’s. Well played. Again. :muscle:

Can’t moan about his performances lately. Drives me insane sometimes like that stupid booking today but he’s been playing good for most of this season tbh.

Starting to think maybe we should keep him a bit longer, obviously only until he really fucks up again though.

Just have to hope we run out of matches before we reach the bust cycle.

Great week from Granit. Really has stepped up and the man deserves big credit.

He’s filling the Partey void in his own way as well as could be expected.

Was actually really happy for him to have that moment with the crowd after his goal. He’s worked damn hard, been quietly going about his business and seems to always be able to bounce back from really bad moments.

Good on him.

I’d never say such a thing.

But for today the man is a hero, what an absolute banger.

For today absolutely, will need to carry this all the way to the finish line to be truely forgiven. Which I’m hopeful he will as I imagine the redemption towards and forgiveness from a bunch of internet nerds is pretty high up on his list of priorities.

You can do it Xhaka

I feel vindicated.

Personally would have given him MOTM over Ode. Both had decent games, but feel Xhaka had to work slightly harder in order to cover the mess at LB.

We can agree Xhaka and Odegaard were the two best players on the pitch.

Probably gotta give it to Xhaka due to the strike at an important time to take the sting out of a United side that was all over us.

Can we win that today without Xhaka, yeh I think so? Without Odegaard gelling our attack with those classy passes, no way imo

That’s how I would separate them but Xhakas wonder strike obviously needs to be considered too. Hopefully these last couple of games will give this midfield 3 some confidence for the run in

I think we don’t win if either is missing, but yes interesting and valid points you make.

We don’t win this with Lokonga.

But Partey in place of Xhaka we probably still do. Odegaard’s influence much harder to replace or replicate.

Though I’ll admit I’m just being pendantic
