This is nice by Xhaka, I judge him loads on his personality because I think he’s a right prick but good to see he’s a prick who does kind things from time to time
Nice gesture from Xhaka, he gained a lifelong fan there.
I bet this guy feels awful for passionately hating Xhaka now.
Imagine the frantic backtrack to delete all his “Xhaka you cunt” content prior to making the DM public.
Just ask for an apology over being told to fuck off by him.
From this:
Also, proof of ref bias:
Still won’t apologise
I genuinely cannot stand this guy in any capacity.
“I make mistakes, I’m not perfect”
“We won’t be best friends after what happened 2 years ago. I won’t apologise for it to at least start mending the relationship with fans, but maybe we’ll get a bit closer because hopefully the fans won’t think about it much as time passes”
This is what pisses me off most about this idiota, not that he is just an average non descript player in a developing team, but the fact he has no self awareness about his relationship with football fans.
Part of me can see why he never ended up in Italy last summer, because if he told the fans to fuck off there without any kind of apology or remorse he wouldn’t be getting just social media abuse.
The weird thing is that I think a lot of us would write off his dumb shit if he was more self aware. I know for me personally the whole apology thing is a big deal. He was wrong and he just can’t admit it. He gave all those quotes but didn’t say the one thing that mattered.
Grown men demanding to be apologised too.
I repeat my stance on this.
It’s not about that. He was wrong, he told the fans to fuck off for no reason. An adult would acknowledge their mistake. He decided to double down and also play like shit.
@RockyMaivia we made it worse by giving him that contract too. He’ll never leave.
He was booed off by his own team’s fans for 2 games in a row, if that is any justification.
This is the right take tbh, sometimes fucking off is the more prevalent solution to an apology.
But that’s not the excuse he gave.
He said it was because trolls online said awful things to his partner, which makes zero sense. He was also slow walking the substitution in a game we could have rescued. For someone who claims to be a model professional it wasn’t very smart.
FWIW I don’t think an apology would help, anyway.
He did what he did. The first time an Arsenal player has ever done something like that. It’s the action, not the reparation, that should have caused him to leave.
It’s not a personal apology to any one “grown man”. It’s a request that he have decency to apologise to the fans as a collective unit for swearing at them.
I don’t think that’s an unreasonable request.
I don’t want him to apologise anyway, I want him to go. But it’s absurd that he speaks so brazenly about his relationship with fans being damaged without accepting he needed to apologise to at least mitigate some of that.

This is the right take tbh, sometimes fucking off is the more prevalent solution to an apology.
Big Brain Mikel needed his security blanket. It’s a shame because our midfield could have evolved more by now with Partey/Sambi/New Signing.
@SRCJJ speak for yourself, I’m expecting a personal apology

Big Brain Mikel needed his security blanket
Mikel wasn’t even manager for this incident, Emery was the one who failed to deal with it
Honestly who fucking cares. So a player told us to fuck off. So what? Karen vibes.
