Quitting social media is fucking easy though. If she stays off her husband’s Instagram and twitter, it’s as if the mean comments never happened. He’s a public figure and social media is almost a prerequisite for him, it isn’t for his family and they don’t need official accounts and they don’t need to interact with his. That’s a really, really easy fix, it isn’t hard at all. If you’re that addicted to social media, do a Colleen Rooney and have a private Instagram the public don’t know about, then they can’t comment on your pictures calling your husband a granny shagging ogre.

Not buying this chat about his wife getting slated on Instagram having anything to do with Sunday. He behaved like a petulant little prick, he should have ran off the fucking pitch with a bit of haste and risen above it. Controlling your emotions and being a bigger person than people in the crowd is a basic condition of being a club captain. Instead he strolled off, threw the armband to the floor instead of respecting his colleague and passing it to him, and then told the fans to fuck off. He’s manifestly unfit to be club captain and doesn’t even belong at the club. I’ll be glad all this happened if it in any way speeds up his exit from the club. All this talk of toxic fan bases, it’s about time players realised they cant be shit for three years, state they’re outgrowing the club and not get fucking destroyed by the fans. I hope players do know they might get the same treatment, our fans have been too patient and tolerant of mediocrity for years, it’s about time we made our feelings very clear. If you charge the highest prices in the world basically and serve up mediocre shit then the fans should absolutely let you know in no uncertain terms.

It would never have got this far.
The same with George Graham.
They would have seen what was happening way before it did and sold him.
Even putting aside Xhaka’s petulant attitude, his performances alone would have been enough for any decent manager to sell him.
The fact that Emery has a popularity contest among the players to choose who wear the captains armband shows him to be weak minded and lacking in any sort of leadership qualities.
I don’t think Emery has lost the dressing room.
With his lack of authority, he never had it in the first place.

That’s the way it should be in this case, Emery makes the decision and tells Xhaka he’s been dropped and stripped of being captain. No way you can play him in games now after this. All this lovey dovey stuff with the players for Xhaka, can stick up their arses. They are paid professionals and play for Arsenal, not Xhaka F.C. “But they like the guy” so bloody what, they can still like him and chat to him when he joins another club. Are these players about winning things or about keeping a player happy.
Emery’s fucked up making him captain in the first place, I said it’s a sackable decision. Xhaka was going to be his downfall and it’s looking like it. For me after that Brighton game last season, Xhaka should have been sold on in the summer. But he makes the guy captain, and throw in his silly tackles, his awful interviews and him just not being a good enough player just adds more fuel to the fire.
He shouldn’t play again for Arsenal imo, but you know damn well he be playing agaisnt Wolves lol.

If he was going to apologise, he would have done it straight after the game.
If he does it now then it’s just pointless.
No one will believe it and he will come across as insincere.
There is no way Emery can pick him as captain in the next game because he is too much of a coward.
Imagine the scenario if Xhaka gives away a penalty or a pass that leads to the opposition scoring and Emery has to take him off because the crowd turn against him or, even worse, keep him on and he makes another mistake.
The only good thing about that is the board would have no other option but to get rid of both of them.
It be all be P.R now mate, he clearly doesn’t regret what he did and the fan’s who booed him won’t ever change their mind on him now. He’s public enemy number 1 at the club, no matter if Emery is or isn’t here. No new coach can in their right mind play this guy again.
Emery will play him cause he’s clearly under the thumb of the players, every decision seems to go to vote. Instead of him telling them to stick it and making his own decisions.
Xhaka just can’t play again for this club, that bridge was burned no matter if you thought it was right he was booed but the way he acted coming off was a point of no return. Sorry it was, as I said no new manager can put this guy into a first 11 and not expect half the crowd not to boo his ass. And it’s clear to me Xhaka is unhappy and probably just wants out.
Best for both parties that he moves on in January.

They can’t take the captaincy from Xhaka that would just cause even more chaos.
There would be way too much politics involved and imo I think it would make the club and Emery look weak.
Xhaka needs to be dropped for 2 or 3 games and then just take it from there. Let it all die down.
If they force an apology and take the captaincy from him it sends the wrong signals to the players and Xhaka, I think that would be really damaging to player morale.
The only thing that is certain over all this, is that I won’t be picking Xhaka for my Fantasy Football team against Wolves.

Chaos with who Cristo, the underperforming over paid diva’s. I don’t think it go over well with the fans imo. This shouldn’t be a two or three game thing, he shouldn’t play for the club again. Sell him off in January and show this club has some balls and the players don’t call the shots.
Like these players are playing for the shirt right now, makes no difference you can’t let him be shown to get away with it. I think this a point of no return for Xhaka, this isn’t a 2 or 3 game thing and leave him with the captaincy. I think the bridge has been burned for him every returning.
There’s no real grounds for saying he can’t play again on this incident.
He’s not the first player to have done something like this.

Like @JakeyBoy said, it’s really not that difficult to stay off social media. Just choose to not want all the good things associated with social media. I do feel sorry for Xhaka and family but when there is an easy way to avoid all this, why not do it?

So Xhaka is upset first because he was sub and then because the fan showed what they felt about him…to bad! When Arsenal football club pays fans to watch their games then it and the players can complain about the fans reaction.
Emery needs to stand up to the players and tell them that’s what the PAYING fans think of Arsenal at the moment.
