Rather than punishing a couple of holiday makers for an illegal immigrant hiding in their vehicle, perhaps they should be finding out who didnāt do their job properly at the border control.
That seems like something that could have gone horribly wrong if the border police spotted the migrant and accused the couple of assisting the migrant.

Iām not a lawyer but I guess the ultimate defence is āshould a cogent human reasonably expect a migrant to hide in their motorhomeā I think the answer is no. If they got through Border Control, then the responsibility surely falls on them and not the couple.
