Horrible accident. Going to be interesting to see what happened as if landing gear doesnât deploy usually youâd assume that the plane would go around in a holding pattern until they can fix the issue.
Maybe they did that and didnât have enough fuel to continue the pattern and tried to land without the gear but at that speed with BOTH not being deployed and on a shortish runway - crazy.
It seems to have an engine failure as well. There are other videos showing a small explosion in an engine while its in the air. Potentially bird strike.
Yeah just read they werenât cleared to land originally because of a potential collision with birds and then called a mayday and passengers reported striking birds.
