It is. The East-West divide in Germany has some of the worst levels of regional disparity in Europe, not shocking it’s a base for AfD

The growth of the right wing vote share is an inevitable byproduct of years of failed migration and economic policy, you reap what you sow.

It’s funny because people tend to see continental Europe in a positive and progressive light, the continent is in decline in every respect, particularly Germany.

this is exactly it.

shitty economy → worry → self-centeredness → populism → fear mongering → us vs them → everyone who thought “oh we would never be like the stupid [insert random population from history that fell for populism], we know/are better” become exactly them.

all you can hope for is that their numbers stay under critical mass until it turns around.

bit like covid in that sense, innit.

This feels like a bait and switch by Macron. He had the lefty parties pull his bacon out of the fire and then taps this guy? Not cool imo.

Very poor taste.

How does Kyle sleep at night

If you don’t know the man in this clip killed himself after this.

His suicide is not the fault of Kyle or the show.

The gent had underlying issues which he, his support network and other agencies didn’t address.

I’ll never understand why people went on shows like that.

Germany’s industry is indeed collapsing. Rising energy cost, a once top of the line automotive industry in serious decline. A migrant crisis causing social unrest.

I’m not convinced the show or Kyle can be held responsible for his suicide, but Jeremy Kyle really is a horrible piece of shit.

I once saw him in the cafe attached to the big Tesco near me in East Ham in the late evening, I can only assume it was something show related. I was tempted to mildly take the piss and say something to him but I thought better of it when I saw the size of the two absolute brick shit houses there to provide his security lol

Same thing happened on the Jerry Springer Show.

even I know enough to know that a guy like that isn’t setting foot in a Tesco unless it’s going to make him money.

Everyone’s had suspicions but it’s jarring to see those suspicions confirmed.

Time for a bit of duct tape, methinks.

That article is a week old. You’d think it would be huge news

The government has already botched this…

A sudden release of 1,700 convicts, what could possibly go wrong?

We release prisoners early all the time. These would have been prisoners who were due for release anyway.

Clearly the solution is to lock prisoners up for life.

The chronic underfunding of infrastructure in this country is insane.

New prisons should have been built to ears ago seeing as the Tories don’t believe in a correctional system based on rehabilitation.

Same with our reservoirs.

The reason why we have a hose pipe ban after 3 days of sunshine despite having 2 solid months of rain before is that the last time we built a new reservoir was back in the 90s but the population has grown 10m since then.

Interesting perspective…

The guy sounds defeated before even giving it a proper go. He seems weak minded more than anything tbh

Crime and dossing off isn’t the only options available to him.
