The issue is really general opinion amongst the electorate towards trade unionism, especially in the public sector or core industries.

Rightly or wrongly, there is a lot less tolerance, sympathy or understanding toward public sector industrial action compared to our European neighbors, I guess if you lean to the left you would call it “solidarity” but thats just a symptom of cultural development really, people here don’t want to bend over to public sector unions and they certainly dont want to be held “hostage”. Is that a self own? Maybe, sometime it is sometimes not. The UK never experienced a post ww2 hard reset like france and Germany did.

The nationalise vs privatisation debate isn’t as important as people think it is. Profit element accounts for very little of consumer faced pricing, if you’re ideologically opposed to that concept and practice then fair enough. People like to scream “fuck teh torys” but they tend to hold executive power because they read the electorate better and tailor their governance towards that regardless of whether its smart policy or not.

The truth in the UK when it comes to core sectors structural issues are the main drivers of problems. Cost is cost at the end of the day, the question is who pays.

Interesting thread. Watch as LePen is just demonised as a neo-Nazi and nobody pays attention to why she is doing so well

And why is that?

A few reasons outlined in the thread.

Finally, Le Pen long ago chose to campaign on the cost of living, a choice which is paying off as the issue is now top of the agenda. https://twitter.com/idvck/status/1512372492580622339/photo/1

It’s a tried and tested move from the more extreme political party’s to focus on lack of jobs and rising costs in an economic crisis, which there clearly is, and it could happen here as well.

We have a right wing government with possibly the worst leader anyone has ever seen, who are an absolute shambles.
But rather than taking advantage of this situation, Labour are arguably worse.

So it is the perfect climate for a shift further to the right by the Tories or possibly, more radical party, that might attract disillusioned voters, like Le Pen has.

The French media and political establishment have handed Le Pen a lifeline in recent days after it was found that they may have worked to cover up an attack against a mentally-disabled Jewish man by a 15-strong gang of young men who may have attacked him for his wearing of a Kippah.

While fleeing from his attackers, the man ran in front of a street tram and was killed.

Well Macron was also planning to raise retirement age as part of his pledge which is about a vote loser as you can get.

It is in a non-bitched population like the French.

Not so here in servile land.

Le Pen is close with both Orban and Putin, so I wonder what this’ll do to the sanctions against Russia. If she wins there probably won’t be any more arms sent by NATO.

Another lovely story brought to you by the CIA.

If it was a practice you would think that they would tell the media so they don’t report on it?

Is it possible they’re either just increasing the practise schedule and/or responding to some air space poking by some unidentified aircraft which happens all the time, just that now the media is reporting it because of the current situation?

The military hardly tells the media about neither airspace poking nor exercises which are regular things that are both usually taking place off shore or out in nowhere, unless they’re taking place close to cities and/or are part/straight up exhibitions.
