Gabriel Martinelli (11)

The entire fourm owes Ashgooner an apology.

That man saw it when Martinelli and had the grapes to call him out when it was not popular to do so

He can’t keep getting trotted out there man

He just isn’t of the level, watching Eze today play for Palace and watching him is night and day

And isn’t like Eze is world class

That position desperately needed freshening up this summer. Failed big time there.

We won. He stinks out the Leeds gam, enough is enough. Drop him I mean rather than sell him.

how many days left in the window? This club isn’t serious if Martinelli and Madueke are the options. Both dreadful.

We can easily pick a Ligue 1 winger randomly and do pretty much the same job.

He wasn’t good, Saka was marginally better but I’d argue he was did better than Madueke.

Honestly, don’t think it’s worth singling him out here.

He’s being singled out because of his history and he showed nothing to suggest he has improved.

It’s crazy how good his first 2 years were at Arsenal. Truly felt the next big thing.

Needs to be studied how badly he fell off.

Arteta is the only manager who would tolerate a player like him starting so many games.

Whatever dirt Martinelli has on Arteta to get so many games must be the same dirt Chelsea have got on him to keep spending ridiculous amounts on buying their rejects.

Surely Arteta can’t keep watching these displays of mediocrity and let Eze go to spurs.

It’s damn annoying he didn’t fancy the Saudi move

I think he fell off, just a touch, both physically and mentally. In the end, the final product fell off drastically.

You don’t see that crazy bite he had before.

He still works hard, but going back… you always felt his presence on the pitch, in a positive way. The end product wasn’t always there, but that drive, always being a menace for the full backs, that crazy energy, etc. It’s simply isn’t there anymore.

And also, it so disappointing how visibly his finishing has eroded, while he was pretty decent a couple of years ago. Was always confidend when he was through on goal back then, now he trips over the ball…

Seems he relaxed just a bit, but also lost just a touch of his explosiveness, and it has a tremendous effect on his game because he lives off that intensity and energy.

With how open the game was in rhe first half, thought we’d see Martinelli make a few runs behind the defense. But can’t remember a single instance of that happening. Guy doesn’t even try to do the things he was good at anymore.

If he remains the starting left winger this season, it would be another trophyless season for Arsenal

He was his normal self (bad).. problem today is so was everyone else lol.

Too much evidence now he isn’t going to cut it… we are putting our title hopes (hahahah after today) on Noni breaking through (I’m going to assume Gyok will come good - same with Zubi) and that doesn’t not fill me with confidence… feels like we could be flirting again but just short due to lack of quality in attack again.

Yeah. Our defence and midfield is pretty solid. Need that killer instinct upfront to make that final push now.

I don’t really fancy any of our options on that LW spot, although I’d give Noni more time.

Can Ethan do a job in that position?

Might even take Pires coming out of retirement at this stage.

He’s always around there, ready to step in when needed!
