Martinelli is a decent hard working player but we need a LW to match the quality we have on the right.
He’d be a very good option off the bench as cover which means we could sell Trossard.
I do find it interesting how Trossard is being relied upon to do that nowadays though.

We need these type of guys in the team of course. However, it does look like Marti is not going to recapture that form a couple of seasons ago and we certainly need a signing equivalent of Saka at LW now.

I do not recall the last time he beat his man one-on-one btw.
Used to be a time where he would rinse his opposing fullback constantly.
Isn’t happening anymore.
Martinelli worked hard for the team again last night. Don’t disagree that he missed some big chances, but that doesn’t make him a poor player. I still love the guy. Just think we need a major upgrade on the wing.
