People rave about Saka a lot in this country (and rightly so), but Martinelli is just as good. World class potential, easily. Ā£6m this guy cost.

Heās English which is why people rate him so much but he also got a few more assists.
Ultimately I agree with you though, not a lot in it between them and Martinelli could get more assists as he develops I think

He is right, Martinelli gets slept upon.
I think Saka has the benefit of being arguably being the best right winger in the world(between him and Salah atm) and being one of Englandās best players.
Martinelli canāt say the same as he has more competition in his position around the world and also isnāt established in the Brazilian NT.
Think both will get even better recognition with the CL spotlight.

Love Martinelli but right now I think Saka has a more refined and nuanced game and heās a level above as it stands but overall there arenāt many teams who can say they have better starting options than us collectively across both flanks.

Best player on the pitch for me today. Got an assist, and recovered the ball like 5 times, when our midfield gave the ball away.

You can see stark improvements in his game. He looks hungrier and more tricky on the ball.
Heās not just all pace playing with his head down anymore.

Plays well for twenty or so minutes then goes missing. Martinelli looked more hardened than previous games but just hasnāt got that ruthlessness he needs, but with the right people around him, heāll only get better.
Trossard is in a different league but unfortunately he doesnāt come from Brazil
You can find that yourself but I think you know that already.

Him and Saka were our best players yesterday.
Iāve been calling for him to be benched for Trossard based on preseason but he stepped up yesterday and helped us win the game. Is that not good enough?

You arenāt allowed to constructively criticise a player .
One minute of skill and heās a world beater.
For me ā¦ā¦ 50/50 starting place. The team looks more exciting when Trossard comes on.
Martinelli has it , thereās no two ways about it but he needs to find it and to push us onwards
You can criticise the player, but think the reason why you are being challenged is because Martinelli played really well yesterday. His assist was excellent.

Iām happy to give him the benefit of doubt. His runs and tracking back yesterday was excellent. He is like the Duracell Bunnyā¦just keeps going!
Iām of the opinion you know nothing about football if you think Martinelli had a bad game yesterday.
