I can’t stomach another season of Lacazette in any capacity lol. I don’t even want to think about it
Yeah I agree Mbappe needs to leave the french league now so we can get more of a sample size. What he has done at only 23 years of age is seriously impressive though.
I do agree the quality across Europe is down, City and Liverpool are fantastic but you could raffle who is the 3rd best side ATM, probably Real Madrid with ageing stars like Benzema, Modric and Kroos.
This was exactly what I was dreaming just now lol.
Yeah absolutely no doubt about it. I think stylistically Mbappe is closer to R9 than Henry too, he’s basically a “sloppy” version of R9 in that the things he does don’t look quite as refined but he has a very similar style
Great player. Best in the world in my eyes

I can’t stomach another season of Lacazette in any capacity lol. I don’t even want to think about it
I get you, yeah.
A recall for Balogun, perhaps? He’s doing all the right things at 'Boro (then again, we were all fooled by how well Eddie was doing at Leeds)
I want to see Balogun get more minutes at another team I don’t think bench serves his development well. Haven’t watched him but I know you watch the FL - so how has he been?
I am all for giving time to players like Saka, ESR but striker is one position that shouldn’t be used for development.
Balogun was given game time at the start of the season & he was below average. He should stay on loan.
He’s only actually scored 2 in 15 lol. I like the way he’s a bit more fluid and dynamic than Eddie, though.
I’m all for Championship players making the step up, though. Arsenal should be doing more of this. They’re gambles, but cheaper gambles.
You really need to change the whole dynamic, which we hopefully do anyway to be signing Jesus.
People are obsessing on the other striker and not concentrating on this lads all round game.
He’s taken the Aguero striker roll in name only. You have too judge him on the set up around him were others share and take responsibility with the goals.
If you go with our midfield set up right now style wise, I don’t think you get as much as you want out of him.
That has too be taken into view for me if you want him.
I very much agree with this although arguably Oli G was someone who’s link up play was as important as his goals but not quite good enough to win us a league title.
Jesus is definitely an upgrade on current options though.
I don’t think bolloxgun is ready to return from loan. I’d be possibly keen to see if Eddie can mature into something special as he’s looking a bit better now but more as a back up. Reminds me a bit of Andy Cole before we sold him and then developed into a prolific forward in the years that followed.
If you search for the athletic football podcast on a podcast provider of your choosing. There is a 15 minute or so chat with ornstein and the city corespondent.
The Jesus deal is pretty much done and we have only got to agree a fee with City.
The city guy also said if he was putting his neck on the line. He thinks Sterling is leaving in the summer aswell.
Ornstein also said we still like DCL and he is very highly thought of at the Emirates
I do wonder where Sterling ends up though. There’s been a lot of discussion about him moving abroad but I don’t see who can afford him
That’s the one caveat he said. He doesn’t know who would buy him with the contract he’s on but he’s sticking his neck on the line and saying both will go

only got to agree a fee with City.
With them closing in on Haaland. They will be very cooperative, right?
Yes seeing as he is out of contract next summer. This is the last window to get money for him
15m up front, rising to 30m with clauses
City are generally not difficult negotiators when selling players. They sold Sane for a very reasonable fee to Bayern, Iheanacho for a very reasonable fee to Leicester, etc. They rinsed Barca for Torres but he had a ton of time on his contract , it was a January move, and Barca are mugs so I don’t think its very comparable.
Hopefully we don’t get sucked into a bidding war with some other cunts. Jesus for anything under £30m is a really good price.
Hopefully the City / Arteta connection helps seal the deal.
It does sound like Jesus is keen to join us. I’m quite surprised by that tbf. Guy has been winning trophies galore and this is a clear step down. Money makes things easier though, I suppose. And he’ll know he will get very few minutes when the Norweigian Terminator arrives at the Etihad.
On the arsecast they mentioned sometimes a useful player at a better club wants to go down to a “lesser” club to be the main guy.
This seems like Alexis joining us in 2014
Being the big fish in a smaller pond, why not.
