Gabriel Jesus (9)

Yeah and his chemistry with Martinelli, and his chemistry with Odegaard and Saka. He’s just able to glue it all together.

I like Toney as a changeup, I’d even be ok with Solanke (but the price needs to be right) but idk if either could even come close to giving the team the same ability to flow like Jesus does.

unfortunately Marti and Ode’s goal scoring is down, otherwise Jesus’ issue would not be magnified this much.

Jesus Toney Saka

With Martinelli and Trossard the sub options would be incredible

I don’t think that will ever become a plan A, but as a B otpion that looks brilliant and we need an alternative of that quality.

Having Jesus tormenting full backs with Toney bullying the CBs in the final stages of the games when you need a goal would be a brilliant solution.
Much better compared to having Eddie doing fuck all, and Trossard losing every duel on the flank.

I just can’t see a scenario where Jesus doesn’t start.
He’s way too important to Arteta’s system, from the way we press to the way we build up.

Honestly, the only downside is that we tend to use our wingers as corner kick takers and go for inswinging balls(Martinelli/Trossard from the left, Saka from the right).

Jesus doesn’t strike me as someone to deliver a deadly ball from a corner kick but perhaps he has that in his locker.

Brilliant footballer - not a brilliant striker.

Problem is that is what he bloody meant to be

The stuff that Jesus provides is not necessarily what you need every week starting especially in the CF position

He is not a shooter and it does not bode well for a full campaign,.there is too much pressure put on the rest of the forward line who aren’t exactly lighting it up with regard to netting goals

He’s probably one of our worst finishers not counting defenders

Bottler.

Jesus and Zinchenko were city backups and we treat them like Ashley Cole and Thierry Henry ffs

he should be 2nd choice and if he doesnt like it sod off. He is not a 1st choice striker you will be lucky to get 15 a season from him. Get a new striker in bin off Eddie and demote him. If he wants to cry with his buddy zinny both can get in the bin.

He is still trying but clearly we need a better CF than him & Nketiah. Jesus would have to go back to rotational option at wings & CF but I guess his contract will run out before we bring in a CF.

It’s a real shame he couldn’t go to a new level with us like he was initially threatening to, by being the main man and playing consistently.

Can’t even shine Firminho’s boots.

£50m wasted on a striker who can’t score goals.

That’s now £222m squandered on useless attackers in the last 5 years.

Jesus, Auba, Lacazette, Pepe.

All crap.

Harsh but true

Auba useless? Get outta here!

Watch most of his goals for Man City and I swear at least half were back post tap-ins into an empty net. Arsenal don’t create those types of opportunities.

Play him out wide and Havertz up top, see if it sparks something .

The guy is not a striker, he does a great cosplay at times but he isn’t a hitter

His goal per minute has worsened with each passing season in the league

New striker is an absolute must
