Genuine question whether you guys actually watch any of the testing and do you really think it means anything?
I’ve often seen random results from previous years where it looks like team X are shit but end up being right up at the front, while someone like Williams did good in testing.
Never really thought it meant much but I admittedly don’t pay much attention to it or to any correlation really.
I keep an eye on testing but you’re right in that you can’t always tell how teams compare to each other as no one really knows the fuel each team are running, and they will be exploring set up and configurations. But from the timings, you do get a bit of an indication of the relative performance of each of the cars. This season looks like everyone is going to be much closer and it doesn’t seem that it will just be between two teams.
Ferrari found a way to fuck things up again. Tried to be over smart with the tyre choice and paid the price for it. Ferrari really ought to sort this ahit out.
