Tbf it was just a good move by Oscar. Potentially a bit naughty team wise given they were probably supposed to work together to stay 1-2 but can’t blame him, had the chance and took it.

Huge missed opportunity for McLaren, but great strategy from Ferrari which wins the race. McLaren though should have swapped their cars round so Lando got 2nd. That’s exactly what Red Bull does in that situation and why Max will win the Championship again this season.
Ferrari pulled it out of the bag. Didn’t see this coming. Switched off the race midway through to watch Newcastle vs Scum. Great result in both.

If Norris was Championship material he’d have done anything to stop Piastri passing. Unfortunately he’s just a chump. Also if Mclaren had any idea on how to win a title, they would have protected Lando ages ago starting at Hungary.
It sickens me that Norris got this rocket ship yet Leclerc gets a tractor year after year
I mean McLaren have cost lando 10 points. Yes you can say Oscar out raced him yesterday but in this position you favour and help the guy with a chance of the championship, end of story.
Lando tried to take it into his own hands and they forcibly took that win away from him in Hungary.
Just plain stupid, much easier to keep piastri happy explaining it’s for the title than it is to make it up to lando when they take away any chance he has to win it. Had enough bad luck (and bad starts) this season he doesn’t need his own team fucking him up too.
All this is assuming that Piastri doesn’t have something in his contract guaranteeing he will not be the #2 driver.
Webber is his manager and well known he hated being considered a #2. Webber has been very “shrewd” with Piastri, so nothing would surprise me

Either way you dice it that’s a McLaren mistake. I dunno why you’d guarantee that to a rookie with no major cards in hand, unless he renewed once already?
Plus as Will mentioned, you’d expect an exclusion for when the title is at stake.
