What about having Sterling + Salah + Auba + Pèpè?

Haha that’s a pretty sick team. You’re making me want to redo my team for the 10375th time :joy::sweat_smile:

Anyone going for a Chelsea player? Their most expensive player is £7.5m. Considering they finished 3rd their players are pretty cheap. The problem is knowing who on Earth is going to play!

Luckily we play Newc. We need another cb with Koss situation but it seems Bell and Hold are ahead of schedule at least.

I’ve thought about Pulisic but his goal/assist stats are just awful.
If Hudson-Odoi was fit he’d be straight in.
Then you’re left with Pedro and Willian who are hit and miss and will rotate.
And in terms of strikers :man_shrugging:

Apparently Barkley and Pulisic are having great pre-seasons, so I’m tempted by one of them for the coverage and the diversity.

Agreed on Pulisic.
Barkley - yes, but in some ways he’s been outshone by Mason Mount who Lampard managed last season, so they could well rotate.

I do have Christensen at 5.0m though, seems great value for a top 6 team defender (excluding Arsenal :mustafi:) :joy:

Barkley has gotta be ahead of Mount.

Christensen is a good shout and as a fellow Dane id love to pick him but I’m sceptical of how Chelsea are going to do especially under such an inexperienced manager.

Christensen isn’t a cert either, I think Zouma could get the nod ahead of him

I’ve got Kante.
He plays nearly every game and got quite a few points last season.
I’m going to wait and see who their regular striker is, if it’s Batshuayi I might pick him, he did well when he was on loan for Crystal Palace.

I think it might be Abraham. Just a guess though based on pre-season. But most of the positions are a complete coin toss for Chelsea

It will be interesting who plays in their midfield now Hazard has gone.
He played in nearly every match.
That’s why I don’t pick many Man City players.
Apart from Sterling, their midfield seems different every match.

I have Barkley. I think he’ll get the nod over Mount at least in the beginning and he seems to be on penalty duty over Jorginho as well. Overall I think the number 10 in Lampard’s system is going to be Chelsea’s most prolific fantasy player and Barkley/Mount are great value at 6.0

For defenders, I wouldn’t pick one from Chelsea but if I had to I’d go with Emerson, he seems to get the nod over Alonso in Lampard’s mind.

RB/LB over CB’s is the consensus right? More chances of getting into attacking threats and they scoop up bonus points for clean sheets too.

Yeah I almost never get CBs, they don’t get forward as much to get assists and while they might knick a goal some cunt midfielder scoring an own goal will drag down their score even if they played well while a LB/RB at least tends to have more opps to create goals.

Well yeah but obviously the goal scoring/assist getting defenders cost more than your standard CB so usually need to throw a couple of cheapo ones in there as well – Crystal Palace might be a good place to start with that given that Hodgson said they have no defenders, so the likes of Martin Kelly (the cheapest an FPL player can be, £4m) might be playing.

I always play 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 and get in some decent wing backs and then get the rest as cheap CBs that might get some minutes .

Thanks for the heads up on kelly

So need to sort my team this weekend. Been so busy I haven’t gotten around signing up yet.

Same.

Do any of the three promoted teams have nailed on/decent strikers worth popping in on the cheap?
