I think there’s a more basic level to his game based on pace that he offers something straight away.
Be a bit raw but different to Viera whose more technical type fit.

Vieira doesn’t seem that similar to Odegaard and he’s completely different to Xhaka.
He has quality but definitely wouldn’t have wanted him to be starting yesterday even with injuries.
I’m sure he will come good but am expecting quite a big drop off if he comes into the team for Xhaka or Odegaard.

He didn’t get involved during preseason though as he was injured.
Arteta did emphasize on that when people started questioning his form during the season and he even said this break would be beneficial to him. I thought he looked much more comfortable during that break, got more minutes under him, playing with our first team players.
I mainly remembered about him while watching MOTD, Danny said we don’t really have someone to fill in for Odegaard which I thought was nonsense because we’ve got Vieira, however, he’s played so little for us that it’s no wonder people don’t really count him.
The drop off would be off a cliff though. There was a couple of games when people went optimistic on him in pre season. Sure there was a closed door game.
He’s been dreadful in Europe and we don’t want too be getting into discussions of him replacing Odegaard.

Tbf, Nketiah didn’t look particularly good in Europe either. In fact, I don’t think anyone looked particularly good in Europe.
I think the heavy rotation didn’t help mind you.

Think we’re about ready for a feeder club to be fair.
Marseille are pretty close. They can develop Vieira for a year.
Was always an anomaly on how many games he was on the bench for Porto and not playing in the CL.
Nobody knew much about him outside of Porto and they now know even less.

He’s been class on a few occasions so the quality is there.
Just need an acclimatisation period hopefully.
Maybe some non-pitch factors also hampering him like settling in, getting a house, friends family etc.
And the fact the team has been so settled. You would have thought yesterday at 0-3 was a great time to introduce him but Arteta rotated both fullbacks and we pooped our pants.

He’s played less than 250 mins of PL football. We know nothing about him yet in reality.

Good times when we can have 40m players riding the bench. He might become useful he might not. Who cares tho we are winning the League regardless.
he said he is on a muscle building routine so we know that arteta wants him stronger on the ball for this league

No, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to call the transfer a failure with this much evidence. He’s a waste of space and not man enough to play football in England.
