This what I love about the FA Cup. Early Jan fixtures, cold winter mornings with low sun, watching a midday game with a Prem side away at a lower league dodgy pitch or atificial one struggling to play.

It’s a trophy that is almost never retained by the champions.
Guehi cup tied. Maybe he isn’t joining City…
They wouldn’t care less about the FA cup, the EPL and CL is what they would want him for.
Only two clubs have done so since the turn of the millennium. One of those clubs has done it twice 
I think I’m right in saying Liverpool and United have never done it. And city obviously hasn’t.
Just scanned the winners list, looks like Blackburn, Newcastle and Tottenham the only other clubs to have retained it.

I had a little look at this…only 6 teams have retained the FA Cup in the history of the competition:
- Blackburn Rovers (3) (1884/85 & 1885/86 & 1890/91)
- Wanderers (3) (1872/73 & 1876/77 & 1877/78)
- Arsenal (2) (2002/03 & 2013/14)
- Spurs (2) (1961/62 & 1981/82)
- Chelsea (1) (2009/10)
- Newcastle (1) (1951/52)
