So that’s the plan, nostalgia.

This is far too sensible a move for Everton. What gives?

Couldn’t have taken those points off Liverpool first no?

Bastards get lucky again

Not a win streak but they had started getting a few decent results in December.

Cba to crop

Should’ve done it in the summer after Dyche had made them safe cause I doubt there are many managers around who can do that job for a bottom half club. Chances of getting a decent manager also would’ve increased dramatically if the new guy had a full summer to set up his team. Doubt any half decent manager will want to go into that hell hole right now. Can see them going down this season.

Everton for the last couple years has been selling way more more than buying, this situation is by design. No one half-decent is going there unless you like the club.

Moyes it is.

Excellent appointment for both sides

Really please to see Moyes return. He has what it takes to get them back competing at the top end

Totally agree. West Ham won a trophy then got rid of him because of one bad season (after we stole their best player). His treatment by the Hammers was appalling and I can’t wait to see him back in the EPL. Good coach, good tactical mind, he’ll keep Everton relevant.

West Ham spent money. Everton aren’t. Unless the new guys are going to do things differently.

They should go for Southgate, a boring manager for a boring club.

Probably the best appointment they could make but is it really any different to Dyche? Maybe they get a bit of a bounce and pick up some early results to give themselves space above the relegation zone but Dyche had them doing okay the last month or so.

The real issue is their terrible squad.

That’s a good decision from Everton.
Moyes is an experienced manager who did a decent job at West Ham, despite not playing the style of football their supporters wanted, so should keep Everton away from relegation.

With the exception of that weird fever dream when Ancelotti was their manager, Moyes is probably the best Everton manager of the last 20 years or more. He’s surely their best option.

I swear he said he was gonna take his time and didn’t want to be in relegation battles at his next club.
