Foden-esque.
hope he gets some chances next season
His technical level just jumps off the screen in these videos.
Iād love to see him get some real minutes, at least in cups, next season. You definitely get the feeling that he is built to play our kind of football.
Not sure if itās just me but I get Wilshere flashbacks watching him.
Hopefully without the injuries but stature and style wise he seems pretty similar.
I definitely see the stylistic similarity but I think (hope) Nwaneri might have more goals in him.
I never really saw Wilshere at youth level so maybe he was scoring for fun at that point. But that was always a disappointing part of his game at senior level.
I think heāll stay close with the 1st team next season.
My question though would be whether Arsenal decide to loan him for a season or something before he ābreaksā into the 1st team?
Excluding Saka & Willock, I think most of our Hale End graduates have gone on loan before having their opportunities in the team.
Two guesses what i think to the idea of loaning him
Heās getting nowhere near regularly featuring for a PL title contending side next season. Get him out and playing somewhere else if heās that special.
If heās special then he should be one of the first names on the bench. ESR and Vieira donāt look like theyāll be pulling up any trees for forseeable future.
We also got lucky with injuries bar Timber/Partey last season, get the feeling next season wonāt be so favourable.
Also have 4 competitions to be competing for next season. Having him fill in when there are injuries, FA Cup/League Cup ties (if we take them seriously) and latter stage of UCL group games, could net him 1-2 dozen appearances no?
Baby Odegaard.
I hope we give him a chance to impress over the summer and then just let it play out from there.
As recent points of comparison, Gavi, Pedri, and Zaire-Emery all broke through at 17 to become starting midfielders for massive clubs, Mainoo at 18. I donāt see Nwaneri having nearly as big a role as any of those players anytime soon, but I donāt see why he canāt be in the mix for cups and substitute appearances next season if he shows that he is ready. Youāre old enough if youāre good enough. And I donāt think its that hard to imagine him being good enough.
Consider me moved.
Regular Nwaneri brilliant goal update.
These performances on top of the club season he has had surely puts a note on the managerās desk. Iām sure Mertesacker will be on the blower.
Sheesh! Sent that keeper to the nether realm.
Arsenalās wonder talent and Tottenhamās wonder talent being the standout players for Englandās U17s is pretty ironic.
Another worldie of a finish yday. This kid is the truth
