Joe Cole mentioned the Messi comparison haha
How about Bukayo Strika?
Did he? I was just typing that
He’s still the closest thing to Foden for me. I’d argue a potentially a better version even.
He could do a job on the left.
Maybe like Raphinha. He has shown earlier he’s quite comfortable on the left too, can finish and cross from there.
Ethan just seems more natural as a cut insider.
Would also be lost as a 9. Doesn’t have that positional awareness yet. Much easier for him to just hug the sideline and cut inside.
You need to keep it simple for him at this stage.
I think with some hindsight from Saka and his evolution playing in the league; teams don’t know or haven’t planned on how to play against Nwaneri.
Next season or the season after, he will have a mob of three people on him and that’s where the invention of his talents come to the fore. Either way, what’s not to love other than having him and Myles come through this season and show us how fantastic they are?!
Based on how I felt at the time, I think I’d have to add Vela to that list.
He gassed me so badly with all those chips lol
What are his stats this season vs Cesc debut season? With total minutes played included?
Rubbish today wasn’t he? Not sure if he’ll start next weekend.
Totally overhyped, press still think he’s a world-beater and as we saw, he’s just not up to it.
Edit. Oh sorry, this was mean’t for the Sterling thread.
A shame a player so talented never had a passion for it.
Are you trying to get @Mercenary and @Leper to fight again?
It’s no longer a fight when Mercenary has won the battle.
I’ll be back with a more detailed post regarding Ethan but wow he’s exceeding my own expectations I had set for him for this season.
TBF (to me) I liked that post.
Liverpool thought they’d hit big with Conor Bradley then we just popped out two wonderkids
Amazing how young they look in those portrait photos, taken at the beginning of this season.
To think Dowman has been bigged up to be an even greater talent.
