I keep up with most Villa news and know people who support Villa and there habe been rumours for a while that Emery doesn’t like Martinez.
I think he’ll be more than happy letting him go if someone is stupid enough to offer big money for him.
Knowing Martinez, I don’t think he’ll like Emery throwing him under the bus like that.

Just food for thought, if he’s that annoying publicly, imagine how annoying he must be in training and behind the scenes in general.

I mean, the rumour was that he wanted to be the #1 at Arsenal going forward which is a big mistake with Mikel.
There were also differences financially with his new contract.
There could be stuff we don’t know for sure however, Gabi and Torreira talked very positively in the past about him. I think his head must’ve gotten big once he got the call-up for Argentina. He went from to hero in no time. From being the guy only a few Arsenal fans and Reading fans knew was decent to being recognised by Messi.
It of course worked out for him in the end as he won Argentina their last two trophies, I don’t think they do that without him. So fair play, however, he became a right cunt in the meantime. His relationship with Arsenal is shattered imo and if he doesn’t watch out the same will be with Villa. Didn’t take them long to turn on Grealish.

I don’t agree with Emery.
Who gives a shit if it is 2-3 or 2-4, it is a loss regardless.
A goalie going up creates a man advantage and it is not necessarily the keeper itself who could score, he can create gaps for someone else to score.
I rather increase my odds of equalising than being worried about conceding another goal in the last minute of the game.

Sure, you can make a case about that but ultimately, he’s the coach, he calls the shots. He looked extremely frustrated in the various interviews he gave after the match.
He straight up talked about the new manager bounce and how some players upped their game when he arrived but they’re not doing so now, He talked about the time wasting, and shitty football they played with long balls, etc.
Emi was involved in all. 
If Emi takes it to the chin and actually stops being a twat he’ll be fine but I could see him not being particularly happy with Unai throwing him under the bus like that.
I do wonder if his stint here and at PSG has made him a bit more trepidatious with players that are getting too smug.
I’m actually interested to see if Martinez starts the game. Emery isn’t really afraid to make such calls.

Emery is totally off there. They were losing the game, they deservedly conceded the third goal after getting dominated for most of the second half… What was Martinez supposed to do there, protect the 3-2 loss?!? Btw Martinelli would still go one on one with him and would have a great chance to score, why is he putting all the blame on Martinez?!

Emery is beyond lost in the whole interview btw, again selling the story how he wants to install a certain style of play, to play out from the back, control the game, not hoof long balls… Lol 
We know how that went here, he never improved playing out from the back by an inch since his start… It was always diabolical. Martinez realised it’s better to just skip the back line.
