Tbh, I can’t blame him. We’ve been scouting him for 2 years now. He’s been an alternative to Odegaard and given how unclear the situation with Madrid is he could have waited a while till Arsenal decided to proceed or not with him.
I do wonder if Martinez advised him not to wait for us. They have the same agents too.

I’d only choose villa if I had inserted a clause with a release fee from a cl club so I can progress my career if I do well. I guess the wages offered from either club were quite low as he’s from the championship. He’s 25 this year, so be near 30 by the time his contract runs down and that’s his career done

Here you go. If you’re asking if I regret it, I personally don’t. Championship was very enjoyable last season and Norwich mitigated some of the disappointment that came with Arsenal every week.
