I believe it was a genuine issue with some bug in their engagement algorithm.
Twitter is a great use case of a company owner constantly interacting with users for feedback & gathering immediate feedback off it’s users.
Plenty would pay to get 1% of feedback.

I saw the exchanges doing the rounds earlier between him and that guy. I figured I’d be seeing a roll back at some point because the guy seemed genuine enough.

Like you said, it’s beyond parody now. If his goal was to make Twitter worse, he’s absolutely succeeded. I guess my only hope at this point is that he gets some sort of comeuppance.
I can only imagine what his in-house counsel were doing when they saw those tweets. I’d be having kittens if one of my clients did that.
