Edu Gaspar

Edu trying to babyface himself over the evil Kroenke tyrants.

Brief the press that the failure of his department to secure an important signing, now that our need for a new striker is being felt. Even though the biggest factor of our slow start is injuries and suspensions. Iā€™d love to know Artetaā€™s take on that situation.

It always felt like the clubā€™s striker targets werenā€™t available this season so we were willing to ā€œriskā€ sticking with the highest scoring Arsenal side ever but with Sterling instead of Nketiah and then spend that money next summer. Feels more like an Arteta decision than a board one.

In terms of replacements, I would love Maldini. Think heā€™s doing a good job at Milan.

Leao, Maignan, Hernandez, Tonali and Paqueta some of the signings he has made.

I think weā€™ll go with a British sporting director personally.

I reckon we go with either Dougie Freedman (Palace) or Phil Giles (Brentford).

He did quite a bit of business with that Kia Joorachian when he first arrived but seemed to move on fairly quickly. Having not read the article, perhaps someone at the club had a word with Edu about doing business with Kia?

Thatā€™d be hard considering Kia is his agent.

Bloody hell!

Canā€™t think of many good signings that West Ham have made that Iā€™d be pining for this lol

My West Ham supporter mate said that Steichen wanted Amorim to replace Moyes a couple of seasons ago but was ignored by Sullivan who preferred Lopetegui.

Thereā€™s been rumours that he isnā€™t happy about some of the decisions the club has made so would certainly be interested if we wanted him.

Itā€™s his work that Leverkusen that is mainly carrying his reputation.
Heā€™s supposed to be the guy that assembled the Leverkusen team that won the Farmersliga last season.

Kudus, thatā€™s about it off the dome.

Rosicky in the mix aswell

Worth pointing out that Rosicky and Arteta were very close back when they were still playing.

If the reports are true, I can definitely see Arteta be the driving force behind it.
For those that donā€™t know, Rosicky has been a director at Sparta Prague for like 6-7 years now.

So heā€™s the guy thatā€™s overseen probably around Ā£200m of spending at West Ham on the likes of Alvarez, Ward-Prowse, Fullkrug, Mavropanos and some other crappy signings?

No thanks

Letā€™s try to avoid giving the role to Artetaā€™s friends and give it to the person who will best drive the club forward even after Arteta has gone.

I donā€™t want us to be hiring the managerā€™s friends so he ends up with more control than we should be giving a manager.

Rosicky is experienced as well. Currently DOF at Sparta Prague

Personally, while I do believe Arteta will have an input on the who the next guy is, ultimately, the guys above him are gonna be the ones with a bigger say.

My expectation is that theyā€™ll choose someone domestic.
Brentford has been a club that is highly regarded on their operations with both us and City poaching their staff every so often. So naturally I do expect Phil Giles to be looked at.
Dougie Freedman at Palace is also very highly regarded and was a name that was considered by both Man Utd and Newcastle very recently.

I think one of them will take the gig.
