Why wouldn’t we just sell him for 10 mill ? I know that’s not great but he isn’t very good and can’t he just leave for free at seasons end ?
What’s complicated is that if he leaves for “free” then we will actually get a fee set by a tribunal (this process applies to players 24 and under that were trained by the club). Usually that’s only a few million but at the higher end its not bad. Some quick googling tells me that the record fee via tribunal is what Liverpool had to pay Burnley for Danny Ings, which was £8m plus a 20% sell on fee. I doubt we get that much for Nketiah but if the club thinks we’d get like £6m and a sell on then I can understand why the club thinks its stupid to sell him for £10m right now.

Hating on Wenger is one thing, but cooking up shit to discredit him next level. Nketiah was released by Chelsea as a 15 year old and that’s when we our academy picked him up.
If you think Wenger was involved signing every 15 year old, then this club is in much deeper shit than what we see right now.

He’s in a peculiar spot. I think a move somewhere was the right play here but he’s here now till January.

He is fourth/fifth choice striker man. I think even Pepe will start at CF ahead of him.
Yeah, his career looks kind of fucked right now. We have zero incentive to give him any playing time over Balogun or Martinelli unless he wants to sign a new contract.
