Eberechi Eze (signed)

Daft cunt can’t even ā€˜their’.

We are 100% getting eze. This is what Arteta was hinting at when he said we were missing creativity.

Always a risk associated with any transfer, and maybe he’s not the optimal choice, but if reports are true and we get it over the line, I’ll at least be pleased for the time being that a significant attempt has been made to address the creative shortcomings evident last season.

I’m here for this, I’ve always liked Eze.

Feel like this is a smart move

this source is a certified fraud. That last sentence is a huge tell..

That said, I do believe the Eze links are real, but no way are we getting both.

Unless Martinelli is being sold for north of £45m.

Please, please, please.

Getting visions of Eze, Sesko and Saka feasting, leading us to the title.

Do it, Arteta.

Sesko?

You have some wild dreams. I see Eze learning how to play as a glorified wing back, Sesko going on a drought similar to the Australian Outback and Saja’s back about to break from playing 95 minutes in 43 consecutive games carrying this team.

Yeah, you know the guy you’re gonna love when he starts banging at Arsenal and you’ll think back to his thread and think…ah that was the guy @The_Invincibles kept saying we should sign :grinning:

View from a Palace season ticket holder. Very interesting viewpoint as you imagine he knows him inside out

The tactical plan will be the same as with Saka on the right I reckon. Eze seems to be right footed? Like Saka does it’s will be a lot of tucking in and playing from ā€˜inside-out’, lot of combinations with the striker or the midfielder behind them (Odegaard for Saka, Rice for Eze).

Obviously we don’t play with overlapping backs, but are trying to create an overload by having Odegaard/Rice, as 8s or 10s pushing up in the centre. That’s the whole reason why I don’t like Rice for us. He can’t play the short passing game - but we’re stuck with him.

Didn’t know Eze was a gooner.

You know what I don’t mind Eze.
Perhaps should have got him last season. I certainly was being too snooty about not getting him.

He was at Arsenal when he was younger!

If Trossard at his current state can play LW at Arsenal(and even had periods when he was one of our best performers) then so can Eze.
Eze doesn’t have Martinelli’s pace but he’s one of the best dribblers in the league. He has the ability to drive with the ball quite a bit.

Eze’s passing is top notch as well. If you’re looking to add someone like Sesko, having someone like Saka on one side and Eze on the other side to feed him is very promising.
See how well Eze operates with Mateta.

I knew that, but not everyone that comes through our youth system will be an Arsenal supporter.

I don’t think its that simple and Trossard scored goals but he was never an ideal LW for us and his performances without the goals were frequently suspect.

Can Eze do the pressing and defending required? Not convinced there either.
