I love this signing. Besides that, I am really glad Arsenal got a plan and they are after younger players in order to be here for years to come. Excited times!

Still feels weird that we have signed him. I grew up in the late Wenger era so actually getting huge targets just feels so odd.

We have been rinsed by West Ham but not as much as when Wenger rinsed us for a similar amount after he wasted nearly 100m on Mustafi, Xhaka and Perez.
Arteta has been decisive and although he’s spent big, he’s bought proven quality and got our business done quickly.
What a difference from the frustration of seeing Wenger dragging out transfers of bargain basement players, from inferior leagues, on massive wages, who we got stuck with.

This should be the announcement video.
It’ll depend how it turns out. If Declan stays for a decade, becomes our skipper and leads us to greatness, then this fee will seem like a bargain.
