Declan Rice (41)

Nice little ‘I’ll come off injury, perfect timing and hopefully he’ll pull out of the international games.
What a player.

Shameless how the hammers treat him.

Delivered them the ECL and then left for a club at the top of the table for a huge fee. They should do nothing more than cheer every time his name is read out over the tannoy.

I think a lot of them do remember him fondly. Moving to another London club was always going to get him some stick. Reminds me a bit of when Fabregas went to Chelsea.

They can’t forgive him for chosing to leave West Ham and go to a club that isn’t a step forward and is just a sideways move. They would respect if if he went to a proper big club.

The state of West Ham fans at the time of the move, probably now too (maybe a few with some trace of sense in their minds changed their minds).

Champions of Europe, you’ll never sing that was the line they rolled out…..guess third tier champions of Europe doesn’t have the same ring to it

Yeah. He left the winners of the mighty Coherence League for a club that never won a European trophy…

An absolutely crazy move by Rice…. How have we even pulled this off?!?!?!

It’s extra stupid because we’ve won the Cup Winners Cup which was the third tier European trophy back in ‘94.

Our route to the final was Standard Liege, Torino and PSG before defeating a Parma side that beat Ajax (who would be CL winners the following season) and Benfica (who were domestic champions that season).

A much much much tougher competition to win. But doesn’t fit the narrative for West Ham fans

Yeah, I know. But even outside of West Ham fans, so many love to bang how we NEVER won anything in Europe…

I mean, you could even understand it from the perspective of some big clubs fans, clubs that won multiple Champions Leagues etc, but when it comes from West Ham fans it’s quite rich.

Just use it as an excuse to skip it ffs.
(To be completely honest I know it’s not as easy to skip it seeing as what they’ve done with Bukayo before)

Inshallah he finally wins it if he leads us to the title

Rice > Caicedo.

Let’s win the PL and Crouch could come out of retirement and win it for all I care.

As Arsenal fan, I don’t know how we could put Caicedo, the one flip flopping his stance, is better than Rice, the one who would only join us from day 1; especially when they are really that close in abilities.

It is not like Caicedo is mile better.

From any point of view, I don’t want a mother fucker who is easy to change minds, and ask for a transfer after a few seasons or a bigger paycheck is waving to him.
Look at Billy, this is the type of personality that we want.

Let’s add Scholesy to discussion…

:pires2: :pires2: :pires2:

(they love Tonali)

So his reasoning for preferring Tonali to Rice is that Rice needs to get more goals, yet he scores more than Tonali. These guys just don’t do any research on stuff they get paid to talk about and it shows…

I’m convinced most of them don’t watch much football at all. Just some easy money.

Scholes hates Arsenal (way more than Neville, Carragher etc).

Not even saying Rice should be the guy, but Scholes was never going to chose an Arsenal player.
