What promise?
Was never more than just a new Jordan Henderson, and he’ll never be more than that.
When he’s in good form.

He actually tried to carry the ball last season which seems to be one of his better attributes from the deep role. And seems quite eager to get himself in the mix of goals too.
As far as his passing goes, it’s always been boring and unadventurous.
Lets face it, he’s never had two good #8’s in front of him. Arteta has failed trying to make him into this free flowing #8. Put him in his natural defensive midfield position and he’s always been excellent.
This is where people still underestimate Partey’s impact. His passing ability is so much better than Rice’ passing ability.
Ouch! But harsh, no? You are firing from the hip my friend.
The midfielders in the firing line despite working with a disjointed attack ahead of them and no striker. This whole season is a clusterfuck.
I think Rice’s flaws have just shown up more this season because he’s not doing the good stuff he was doing last year.
All of our team seem less confident on the ball, not taking risks and reverting to the short safe passing shit we saw under Wenger for years.
Take a risk, run with the ball and Rice will overpower most players. Morgan Rogers is showing how to do it, Rice was doing that last year.
Probably our best outfield player today but what was up with that celebration?
Shushing their supporters and telling them to calm down. Just go back and try to get the winner my guy.
Did he take any corners in the first half? He probably got stick from the fans. God forbid he scores at OT and gives some back ffs.
The last ditch tackle

Prefer not to celebration police our own players. Let them have a moment of joy.
As far as I’m concerned, players can do whatever celebration they like. It’s not like he did an Adebayor to Utd fans was it?
I also like the fact that he’s coming in quite clutch against Utd lately, that’s now twice that he’s won us points against them in recent history.
I think Rice has on many occasions shown he has the tools to be an effective left eight.
I wonder if he’s capable of switching with Odegaard in a single play as like a tactic to confuse defenses.
Only suggesting this because it seems Odegaard gets isolated far too frequently on the right. The worry of course is Odegaard wouldn’t be able to stop a counter-attack from the left side.
I think people seeing the Zubimendi signing as a sign that Rice won’t be used as an #6 going forward are mistaken.
In my opinion, the likely departure of both Jorgi and Partey means otherwise.
I think Zubimendi, Rice and MLS will become our options at #6 from next season.
Absolutely loved how Rice spoke about MLS after his performance tonight…you can tell how together our players are and how the more experienced members of the squad are supporting the likes of MLS
IS THIS FUCKING REAL!?!?!?!
I’M HAVING SHIVERS!!
Take a bow Son
It ain’t real, we are living in a HIMulation
Why the fuck hadn’t he been taking free kicks before tonight
You sure he’s allowed to celebrate lads?
I literally can’t remember the last time, or a single game ever, where a guy who isn’t a high profile free kicker scored TWO worldie free kicks, in a game close to this magnitude.
This was football magic here.
