David Raya (1)

There goes my idea of him being our No.2 then!

Cudicini was their number 1 the previous year, this I remember thanks to his howler that allowed Henry to score at Highbury

Imagine if Ode came first :henry2:

Nah, not this season, but wait for the meltdown on OA when Timber is #2 and Rice is #1

If Gabriel isn’t 2nd or 1st place, I’ll seriously question whether our fanbase are actually Arsenal fans at all.

If its true, it has to be Xabi Alonso wanting a keeper better with his feet.

Courtois has been a decisive player in two CL final wins over the last four years. If you’re mainly worried about shot stopping and big match performance, you’re not getting anybody better. I can’t see Florentino wanting him out.

There were some concerns about Courtois last season too.
Sure, he had games like the one against us at the Emirates where he pretty much kept Madrid alive but he had plenty of games where he conceded some pretty cheap goals.

He has a declined a little bit. Surprisingly he’s taken well to Alonso though and Alonso has praised him a lot too. He seems willing to be more involved with the ball at his feet and play some of those riskier passes. I think Madrid will stick with Courtois for the time being.

Maybe they look at Raya down the line again.

It’s peak nerd ball to drop a world class shot stopper who might be one of the greatest of all time so you can get some better passing out of your goalkeeper.

Guys won plenty of trophies without being a top passer find a way to get your fucking outfield players to ping the ball about better and not rely on your goalkeeper

Hopefully that’s his risky pass for the season out of his system before the serious stuff starts

Why the fck is this cunt always off his fckn line all the time - must be being coached that way no !?!

yes, that was the main reason Ramsdale got replaced, he was too scared to move up the pitch

Definitely off today. Looked lost on a few corners, and when I look at the goal again he should have been running back much earlier. In stead plays the ball to MLS and just watches him for a few seconds while he’s being pressed. He shouldn’t be standing there like that, almost on the halfway like. A Neto moment. Hopefully got a few blunders out his system now, didn’t have many last season.

Still credit to Sarr, took it brilliantly. And I also do think it was a foul on Skelly, think he got tripped there by Ricarlison (not fully sure).

Maybe it’s just me but apart from that pass to Myles which was risky, I didn’t see him do much wrong. The two occasions he failed to get to the ball on their set pieces was because he was being blocked by Van der Wen and no one picked up on it.

hasn’t had a good pre-season imho. Needs to cut out his mistakes and errors of judgement quickly before next weekend.
