And if the hospitals got overwhelmed and capacity went in the mud along with ventilators, would we be saying we should have discharged all these people?
Honestly this is such an issue even before Covid and now.
People coming in for social admissions.
And people becoming unwell because their social care before hospital goes to shit.
There is so much more acute illness as it is and this social care mess is making everything even harder.
And these people do badly if they stay on hospital for too long - fall, break their hips, get complex chest infections/MRSA in hospital.
Itās not fair on anyone. And it just shows the mess in this country.

I developed a cough on Friday so took a test this morning before going down to see my elderly grandparent just to be safe for there sake and I finally got the dreaded two red lines. So thank fuck I took the test as I wouldnāt even have known I would have had it otherwise
