He should know better being a goalkeeper himself. Seeing it a few times, I think it was just a freak accident.
4-5 months sounds super optimisic, especially with the ligaments being mentined too.
Maybe if he counts the time when he’a back to training.

Regarding Neuer’s comments, I saw nothing wrong with the way Donnarumma went for that ball. It’s just a super unlucky injury.
When you actually look at that whole Musiala run I’m not even sure Donnarumma saw Musiala at all, before they collided. Musiala was running from the second plan, from behind, Donnarumama just went to collect the ball in the most normal way ever.
Seems Musiala didn’t have Donnarumma in sight either, both just went for the ball.
A bit shitty from Neuer to comment like that imo. That’s how every GK acts there.

No way it’s 4-5 months having seen that pic, soon as I heard about it I thought 6 months but that pic makes it look horrific.
Hope he is able to even get back to his best, young enough that he might be fine but it’s a horrible injury especially for a pacey dribbler who gets tackled a lot by nature.
Would imagine closer to a year before he’s back up to full speed based on what we saw with our guys and even the likes of timber with his ACL, we kept hearing about the speedy recovery but he was still out a practically year in reality. Ramsey recovered well at least (even if I didn’t like his game), hopefully musiala the same.

Best pray PSG/Real are not fucking around because Chelsea will never let us hear the end of it. They’ve beaten no mark teams all the way to this stage and for their Conference League win last season also.
Reminds me annoyingly of how we managed to lose to the likes of Sporting and Olympiakos when we were in the bum cups.
I guess we’ll see, cos most of my close mates are Chelsea fans and I’ve not heard a peep from them about this competition in our group chat. They seem to give as little of a fuck about this as everyone else.
Winning this means fuck all for bragging rights, it has zero prestige. Only good thing about winning it is the huge bag of cash, but that’s a different matter.

Just a sports-washing exercise, from the calculated approach to who was selected to play in this competition, to the bags of cash then provided to help bail them out of any FFP issues. I doubt even the organizers give a fuck about the lack of prestige.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the competition is a one off, especially if any of the Red Cartel are in a position to qualify.
City and Chelsea are hopefully fucked when they come back and start the season due to the little break they will have
