Was going to give @Jules a reply in good faith then somebody posted that shameless man Eduardo Hagn.

I’m out of here.

What experience does this guy offer? The biggest club he played for was Fiorentina and they binned him after one season where he couldn’t beat out average midfielders.

He’s never played in major European competitions (CL) and was a substitute for Denmark in the two major competitions he played in.

What we’re getting is a robust defensive midfielder who breaks up play but we’re not getting anything resembling an experienced head who can effectively replace Partey and Jorginho.

It’s a shitty signing no matter which way you look at it.

Another case of Arteta getting what he wants

Lets see how it shakes out

No mate, we must accept and love everything the club choose to do. Otherwise it’s too early and too negative.

Zubi has to bang from day 1 (no chance he’s as comfortable on the ball in pressure as big tommy p) and Jorginho had 10x the quality of norgaard. Downgrade FC.

If we sign Sesko and Rodrygo I understand why we’re looking for a budget backup CDM

I absolutely see the reasoning in this transfer. Yet I feel like saying - at least Jorginho won something in his experience, not just a Danish cup(?)

Could they not use Merino in that role?

I was looking forward to a good young(ish) signing in midfield; Essugo, Agoume, Charles, even that Flamingo fella mentioned recently who can cover CB as well.

To be controversial, if they need experience perhaps they should get some more experienced coaches and not developing future managers who go to other teams.

Why though? Sesko and rodrygo should be about 160m max. I don’t think that’s good use of money but ignore that for now.

Last season we spend hardly anything net and in Jan diddly squat. We must have money to spend, if we don’t it validates what I was saying the other day.

Especially when we should be able to offload other players to bring the net spend down

Just retweet ornstein you weirdo

Because Merino can play there and likely will spend some time there, adding Zubi, Rice, MLS… we just need a ā€œbackupā€ player.
I understand why we don’t give Partey a raise and let him go.

Let’s hope that’s the case. Let’s hope…

I think people who complain about every little fucking thing get a lot of replies telling them they’re too negative and it’s too early etc, and then people like SRCJJ who are balanced don’t tend to get those replies, because they aren’t constantly whinging.

but deep down those folk won’t say anything cause they don’t want the argument, even if they disagree.

Folk on here tend to respond to others/jump on bandwagons based on who said what, rather than what actually got said.

Like how half the forum suddenly became anti-Gyokeres overnight because of reports and then swung the other way as soon as Sesko stuff started dying down again.

Maybe its just an OA bred culture but I do find this happens on here so much more than I do in real life debates with friends and family. Or perhaps it’s more representative of the crowd I choose to embed with. :joy:
