Christian Norgaard (16)

“brings a wealth of experience”

But not really experience of anything specific :joy:

Nicholas Jover right now

I honestly thought they must have worked together at Brentford but Norgaard arrived right as Jover left.

Buzzing!

He will pleasantly surprise people, especially when Zubimendi does his ACL in the 3rd game of the season

Is it true he’s a teacher’s pet?

Yeah he definitely toed the line for Thomas Frank

Used to hate teacher’s pets in school and college. They felt like agent smith from the matrix.

Excellent first interview and comes across as a very professional player. I think he is going to be a astute squad player for us in the coming seasons.

Welcome to The Arsenal Christian Norgaard! :red_circle: :white_circle:

I’m not usually that sort of guy but this response a couple weeks ago stuck with me. Would love to hear what your current take on this now is.

Thanks, it’s aging well what can I say.
Decent chance we conclude our business by the time we head out to Singapore. :folded_hands:

Suppose it means a lot to play for us, I can allow it

The kid is saying in Danish it’s a surprise for Christian so I guess he wasn’t expecting it.

Combine that with the fact that it probably means a great deal to him to play for a club as big as Arsenal and I imagine I’d be tearful too haha

As long as he isn’t soft in the tackle, I don’t care.

Would rather a guy that cries at a big occasion than a guy getting done on 5 counts of rape lol

Absolutely. There’s still an air of toxic masculinity in society. It’s not “soft” to have empathy and love in your heart. I openly cry when music touches my soul, whether I’m at home listening on my tod or at a gig.

I couldn’t give two fucks if the bloke sitting next to me is too busy trying to be an alpha male to realise what a fucking pussy he is to be scared of showing emotion.

It’s an ancient stick that is used to beat men with. Only woman are supposed to be emotional, and men should be emotionally infertile.

I go to therapy once a month, and invariably at some point during my appointment I will start to tear up. At one point I would be too embarrassed to even admit that, but now I find it liberating to talk about.

I think a lot of the mental health problems we see in today’s society, not forgetting the rates of suicide among men, are a direct result of people not being able to talk about their emotions, and closing up.

Opera does that for me.

To be fair at this stage in his career he probably accepted that Brentford would be his ceiling, so to get the opportunity to play for us is a dream for him and his family.

It’s too far to the other side now tbh. Nothing overly wrong with showing some emotion in certain circumstances but it seems the expectation is men should be emotional at every opportunity and any show of strength is ‘toxic masculinity’.

No offense mate but your Danish is terrible. I speak excellent Danish thanks to my interest in the pastries of the same name and the kid actually said: ‘Madueke is a gunner, 50m fee, Rodrygo deal is off’.
