In the big picture its really inexplicable that they didnāt keep Mount. I donāt think he is a great player by any stretch of the imagination. But weāre talking about an academy kid who was their player of the season not long ago, was a very reliable player for them that every manager liked, and who would have been one of their more experienced players given the massive youth movement they have embarked upon. If they kept him I have no doubt he would have been one of the first names on the current team sheet and picked for captain ahead of James. Now with Nkunkuās injury they have no real attacking midfielders in the squad at all.
