Their midfield is more balanced when he isn’t playing there and they’re at their most dangerous when their forwards are 1v1 specialists and/or have pace.

Will be interesting if Chelsea end up being our nearest challengers for the title throughout the season.
I have no doubt if they try and go toe-to-toe with us across the season, we will come out on top.
In a one off match at SB though, anything can happen. Will be tough match but I’ll go with a 3-2 win (they will try everything to make us concede more)

Since they lost to at home to Sunderland they’ve had consecutive wins against spurs, Wolves and Burnley, who are relegation fodder so although Chelsea have moved up the table, they’ve had a fairly easy run.
Also their home form isn’t great.
Brighton and Sunderland beat them and they drew with Crystal Palace.
Their only wins at home were against out of form teams like Wolves, Fulham and Liverpool, so they’ll be more pressure on them than us.
I hate Chelsea and would absolutely love give them a thumping. I’ve already seen that they have moved the hoardings closer to the pitch. I still don’t think we’ve been particularly impressive from throw-ins but there you go.
Seems like we have lots of options to pick from, I’d imagine a similar team to the one midweek against Bayern.
I don’t imagine Maresca will set his team up to park the bus, which leaves us with space to counter, making Martinelli/Madueke a threat for us.

Those Wenger away games gave me so much stress man. The times we let opponents carve through us and concede easily was terrible. Good result on the day but we could have easily lost this one.

I genuinely dont look back at any game from 2006-2022 with any feeling now. We got moments games and won a few FA Cups but meh we were not a serious club.
Arsenal fully awoke as a proper club in 22/23 and we have gotten stronger every year apart from last season where we dipped for a season.

I find it a bit mad that Chelsea think so highly on themselves atm. Conference cups and pre season cups aside they have been flipping crap 5 years straight now.

The fact that 8th was our worst ever finish in that period completely boggles my mind too.
All our rivals have been in and continue to finish in worse spots each season, and there is not even half the media coverage talking about it.

All our rivals have had worse seasons than any we had but we had the longest period in the (relative) wilderness for a club of our size.
I’m not including Spurs, who live in the wasteland permanently. And United are probably going to equal that period we had at least.

Another big game. Both teams will go into this game high on confidence. We are obviously the better but Chelsea have enough quality to trouble us.
Its great to have Ode, Noni and Martinelli back to bolster our attack. Don’t think any of them start this game, unless Leo isn’t fit.
Hopefully we find a way to get 3 points against.
