The EFL itself takes a cut of the gate receipts and as I understand it that money is filtered throughout the Football League. You’re talking over 200K people attending the combined 4 matches this time, it is significant.
There have been complaints throughout this season. Rodri, prior to his injury, was mocked for it.
A sec, let’s be clear. Rodri said he was exhausted. No mention of European competitions having too many games if I remember.
They complained about all competition
Meh, doesn’t wash with me. Domestic cups will always be the target first and foremost.
Exactly, the congestion (if any) comes from European comps and additional international comps (cwc, nations league, expanded super cups etc).
I mean alexis managed to play near enough non stop for 7 years including summer tournaments so whatever really. Not sure making the semi finals a single leg makes a diff.
Our seni final first leg (as well as Spurs’) is free to air, live on ITV.
Tottenham - Liverpool
If Spurs press with the same abandon they did a few weeks ago, this could get nasty. The Son+Spence combo and how they act without the ball is where the game will be won and lost
Bentancur gets knocked out by a collision with the ground
…but mostly lost.
He’s been down for ages, hopefully he’s ok
It looks really awkward
Did his neck snap?
Looks like he knocked himself out
He wouldn’t be able to run to the ball on the corner if he had a stroke. Pretty disgusting people on Twitter are saying that.
Yea i reckon hes chewing some gum in that clip
That’s a good goal by Solanke
Hopefully not off
Don’t see how they’ve proven that off with those angles tbh.
