I was wondering if he’d be disappointed about getting beat on his near post like that.
To be fair guys, to be fair those things were true up until recently. But then most of that is on Arteta who’s set up meant we didn’t really get many chances. If we were lucky and didn’t miss a lot of our half chances and a few clear cut ones earlier in the season we would probably be in contention for a top four.
Since we played Leicester they’ve plays spurs Leicester and now us, with no squad to rotate they’re going to be lethargic. We should score alot today
Partey will have a field day if this continues.
His pass to help set up the goal was instrumental.
A simple vertical ball but it opened everything up to kick start the move.
Sure. Won’t have to open it very much for you ![]()
He’s no Giroud, is he?
Would love to see us demolish them. Never liked them, their football is awful and their fans flew a White Lives Matter banner over the stadium last year. Hope they go down and take the Sunderland route.
On a practical level if we are up by two or more at the half do you start pulling players for rest?
Might not be popular but tbf he has been involved in some of our best goals this season, mainly from keeping the ball in a tight area to set up the the attacking move.
Burnley’s pitch seems to be a tribute to the famous Christmas Truce football match in no man’s land in 1914
have you scored from one of these short corners ever?
Surprised auba/saka/partey are starting honestly. Would prefer to rest them myself. Pepe ceballos and lacazette are more than enough for this team.
I like Dyche but hate the team and the football he makes them play, which I guess he does because of limited funds.
Loving all these balls over the top by the way.

Small spaces no space

Good pass from deep Xhaka. Finally using his skill set consistently. Odegaard looking good in tight spaces and Mari tidy on the ball.
Close
burnley look knackered already, no press even in their defensive end

I love Auba in a lone striker system. How did this take so fucking long to be implemented.

Smooth brains gonna smooth brain.
Edit: That’s not entirely fair of me. He was scoring and getting in good positions from the left. We also weren’t playing with a ten after Ozil got banished.
Just like the way he comes across sometimes…even today before the game.
“Is it going to affect you and your team that Arsenal have had a week off”
“It’s going to affect us but there’s more important things going on that football so I’m not going to complain it is what it is”
Something along those lines. Most managers are crying 24/7
What a sitter. Rare miss from Saka
