Its strange seeing an English wonderkid establish himself abroad. Firstly, we don’t have many young talents of his apparent calibre in the first place and secondly, he would probably earn double / triple the money in the Premier League.
Fair play to him for genuinely putting his development first.
Nelson is in a similar-ish situation, hopefully he makes a step up at Hoffenheim and comes back to challenge for our first team.
Knowing that young players don’t get any chances in the Premier League and Spain and Germany are known for their academies and educating players properly it’s not weird, at all.
I hope these Dutch kids realise going to the Premier League is not the step to make (Malen is already back at PSV lol), but that money tho.
