Bukayo Saka (7)

He’s in England’s leadership group according to Kane.
Same for Rice.

“Jamie, pull up the Saka vs Sancho poll”

Will be good for the squad to have two current league champions in the leadership squad. 3 if you include Kane’s Bundesliga

He’s only saying Ozil because he never played with Walcott. :poldi:

And that was Ozil way past his prime btw, not even near his best Arsenal years, let alone that Madrid peak.

Incredible stuff. Will go down as one of the best players of the Emirates Era. Think he could be on the same tier as Cesc and above Alexis and Ozil. I’m talking impact, not ability.

I’ve had this thought in my head for a while now…

If his career goes the way i hope it does there’s a possibility he ends up the record goalscorer and appearance holder for the club.

And a  statue. Although would be quite funny if they did one of him doing Rashford’s cele.

Such a great guy everytime I hear him talk, somehow cocky on the pitch but so humble off it you would never consider him arrogant at all. Just seems to be completely level headed in all respects.

He gets fouled a lot and the refs seem to let it happen. Gets lumps kicked out of him before a yellow is handed out. That bothers me. Arteta should be screaming to protect him before he gets badly injured. Opposition Players will keep upping the ante if the ref swallows his whistle especially at the start of games. (Edited for typo)

It’s because of the type of fouls he draws. The one that sticks out to me is when Saka has his back to goal. His full-back can leave a bit on him in that situation. The refs simply don’t punish it unless it happens 3 or 4 times

Like Timber, involved in the first 3 goals. Was likewise dangerous throughout the game.
Shame not to walk away with an assist or a goal.

I was surprised how much space he seemed to get when they were running a back 5. Usually in those situations he’ll automatically have the wing back on him tight and the LCB not far behind.

Saka was tearing them apart in the second half and we just casually subbed him off(likely to rest him for Chelsea) while we were still looking for a goal, and we still got it.

Never would that have happened in recent years. Some squad we assembled.

Congrats Bukayo :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I remember when he first broke into the first team, all baby-faced and fearless. He’s matured physically, and his intelligence has always shown through.

Happy to witness his growth as a man and as a footballer.

Mikel is so happy rn :joy:

I guarantee it’s something he encourages. Helps certain guys focus I’d imagine.
