Bukayo Saka (7)

My concerns are the heavy minutes Saka will have to play with PSG in mind. It’s a short recovery window, and he’s only recently returned from a serious injury that might be related to overuse.

Arteta should still be managing his minutes. Racking up mileage in a match that wasn’t particularly important in the grand scheme just doesn’t sit right with me.

But on that same note, you could easily argue that game time is key for a guy who hasn’t played a lot of time recently.

Despite the goal, he just didn’t have a good game.
Best thing he did was that curler which Gigi somehow saved.

Put in some dangerous balls in the first half that no cunt gambled on

I would send him off for an extended break now and come back fresh for the new season

Horrific miss that could have made it 2-2.

Hope to see him full strength again next season

Returned from a career threatening injury and has scored goals away from home against Madrid and PSG!

that’s true. Perhaps it’s been the league games that I’ve been a bit disappointed by.

You watch teta start him in the remaining games for absolutely no reason

Knowing how much of psychopath Arteta is, he’d want us to finish the season strong so he’ll go full strength for the remainder of the season.

I’d be up for moving Saka inside more of an #8 and Nwaneri on the outside on the right

Would also get Saka more central and has more freedom to drift around the pitch in a way Palmer gets

Would like to see this especially if Odegaard continues to flounder, may unlock another side of Saka getting him closer to goal

Saka doesn’t need resting, he needs similar quality to him to take the pressure off because Havertz, Trossard and Jesus are barely adequate and would never start for any other decent club.

The negligence of not strengthening our attack with top quality players has cost us the title.

Just back from a major injury likely caused by workload. Meaningless games remaining. Wrap him in cotton wool until the new season.

I don’t think he believes enough in his ability. It’s in there, but he doesn’t seem to realise he can get past just about anyone in world football and has enough in his locker to be unplayable. We’ve seen glimpses over the years, but he’s not that young anymore. He could do with coming out of his shell.

He genuinely could be scary good, up there with a Salah.

I’d agree but we still have the runners up place to contend with so when that’s done, then rest him.

He’s a fucking magnificent player there’s no doubt about it but that miss is gonna haunt for some time. Watched it back many times it honestly looks harder to blaze over. Terrible, terrible miss by a sure to be great player.

And we have no complaints whatsoever

It’s amazing that before this new contract, Saka was earning less than Havertz.
What was the club thinking when we signed Havertz to make him our highest paid player?
