I loved how the penalty miss didn’t affect him a single bit.
Great celebration too.

Football arrogance is running through his veins.

What a player. :heart::heart:

Given what happened with the pen, thank the stars it was him that scored the opener.

Well, he had the chance to put us 1-0 up with the penalty. And he put us 1-0 up.

That’s how I’m going to remember it and I’m just going to ignore anything else.

I could name a list of all the players he was debated with and he’s left every single one of them in the dust.
How blessed are we that our academies produced such a talent.

Have to say I was impressed with him in these two games.
Didn’t really expect him back to his top top level right away, but boy did he do it.

Credit to our fitness team and whoever is responsible for his recovery. We rarely ever saw something like this throughout the past decade while it’s slowly becoming a rule now.

I think both games were among his best games of the season, if not the 2 best games.

I think this also raises one important topic again. Saka needs rotation at times and he needs rest.
He’s no prime CR7 and Arteta should stop treating him like that.

I said Martinelli relies on his athleticism heavily, but it’s very important for Saka too. Yeah he can have a good game when he’s not fully sharp but there is a big difference in performances like this where he’s skipping past players, where he’s light on his feet (quick and skinny), a constant issue one on one. He’s not like that in all the games truly. There are a lot of games where he doesn’t go so confidently into duels, loses some, whwre he looks pretty modest in that department. Passes is back to the middle, goes into wrestling duels ofteb because he can’t skip past them…

He’s neither a Henry/Bale level athlete (olympic sprinter) to breeze past players for fun when not on top level.

I want to see Saka like this consistently and that’s why I want to see more rotation for him in the future.

Thank you, Mikel and good day.

I think in the upcoming stretch his minutes need to be managed very carefully.

The PL is out of reach so best to have him 100% in the next round of CL matches.
