Does it count as an assist if you look after the ball, then give it to a teammate immediately prior to him scoring the penalty?

Thereâs a reason nobody broke the record. Even the likes of Fabregas, KdB and Ozil failed to do so, even when it seemed certain theyâd be doing so.
Such a selfish player.
He could at least be sharing the assists around to his fellow teammates.
Even as a graph seeing Ozil flatline like that is painful.

Then what do you say about Kane?
Had to check it out, he finished that (2020/21) season with only 14 assists, only 4 in almost 30 remaining games.
Only says how early form doesnât have to mean much. But if we do keep playing like this and if Saka only stays fit it surely seems he could easily beat Henryâs record.
You can pick up some pretty ridiculous âassistsâ very quickly though. Maybe your teammates just stopped banging in your 2 yard passes from outside the box.
When has Saka never been consistent? I donât remember this criticism ever being laid on him.
