Bukayo Saka (7)

the best way is to ignore it, no need to “deal” with it.

Pires entering his Kenny Sansom era.

Hope he gets the help he needs during this difficult time

I was talking about a guy who got jailed.

Okay, didn’t realise that.

To me it seems that is probably taken out of context a bit. I would like to see the whole interview.

Pires isn’t usually prone to controversial statements, he’s usually even too positive about anything related to Arsenal.
Maybe he only thought about Doku being better than Saka in certain specific areas (he’s better one on one I think really), not as player/winger in general.

I’m think these quotes may have been taken from a separate interview, but he did a ‘this or that’ challenge. Saka or Doku…he picked Doku. Doku or Salah…he picked Salah. Pires or Salah…he picked Salah.

Lol. Whether you’re Pires or God or Zidane or whoever mate… If you think Doku is better than Saka, then you’re quite clearly wrong mate.

What is everyone thinking? Precautionary or actually pulled something?

Knowing our recent luck when it comes to injuries…

Saka wasn’t very good today… but he still got an assist .

Hope he’s not injured, we can’t afford another first teamer to be out - especially given these next two games vs. Atalanta & City.

He doesn’t have to start in the CL game but I expect to see him make an appearance. Whilst we need to take the game seriously, I think we can also rest the likes of Bukayo and she in Razza/Jesus etc.

If we’re not going to start Bukayo in Italy, i’d leave him out of the group altogether and let him rest properly in London.

He is not the kind of player to come off the bench and turn the game around for us in a scenario where that’s needed.

He 100% will start on Thursday.

1 goal and 4 assists in 4 games for Saka.

Even when he isn’t in the most eye-catching form his production is still top level.

Can’t really articulate how good it feels having a top player like him come through the ranks.

I know that some of you don’t like Men in Blazers but it’s our Starboy

Still weird to process that he’s part of the leadership group for both Arsenal and England now. Only just recently turned 23.
This is his 7th senior season for us, time flies.

He’s the shining example to any of our academy players.

You can rarely buy players of this standard because they cost too much. We’re so lucky that he is one of us and he cost us nothing.

Clubs without the spending power of City or Madrid have to hope they get lucky with a wonderkid turning into a truly elite performer.

Those two corners were ridiculous btw. Whipped it bang on the money perfect height, pace and trajectory twice in a row. Couldn’t of sketched it out any better than this.

He has been suspect to shitty corner kicks at times(that last corner against Bayern comes to mind).
It’s why sometimes Odegaard takes them.

It feels like he and Jover might’ve worked on them because his deliveries so far this season from corner kicks feel much more refined and threatening.
Even beyond corner kicks, he always had a fantastic cross in him but he’s leveraging it more now.
He’s assisted in all 5 PL games he played this season.
