Bret Hart Was Quite Good

Cardona is such a jobber man.
Finally made it back to WWE for this Cena tournament and he lost to Knight like a geek, even kicked out of his finisher on his first day back.

So much for building yourself outside WWE.

His appearance in the tournament is pretty clearly just a call back because he’s someone with a connection to Cena who is still active.

He’s made a pretty good career for himself since leaving WWE from what I’ve seen, considering he could have just faded away. Apparently he’s recently been on NXT. WWE have put out some merch for him so there might be more planned for him.

He’s never going to be a WWE main eventer but he’s done a lot better for himself than others in his shoes might have.

Yeah, saw a report stating exactly that. Also said it was a one off because of that connection. And makes sense too I guess, Matt Cardona doesn’t have a connection with Cena, but Zack Ryder does.

100%. He’s definitely done well since his release, been all over the place and done a lot.

Women’s Blood and Guts match wasn’t bad on Dynamite @Annie85x

Yeah I dug it! Skye Blue looked like an absolute maniac, could tell some of them had been waiting a while to do a match like that lol

Yeah Skye Blue definitely came out of that one pretty over.

Marina Shafir’s entrance and her opening segment with Statlander smacked, too

The business really lost something when they started testing for cocaine.

KO is the first name that popped into my head as the non obvious name.

Of course it was gonna be my boy. Great reaction for him.

Card for Survivor Series. The absolute state of it.

What a rubbish product it has become lol

That was easily the best RAW episode on Netflix and probably the best RAW in over a year.

It’s mad to me that one of the supposed big ppvs only has 4 matches and for the prices they charge for tickets these days.
Guess too much wrestling will get in the way of all the adverts and stuff though :henry2:

Purely from viewer POV, I’m happy with 4-5 matches in a card to be honest.
Became tiresome when events started lasting 4-5 hours.

Especially with AEW they used to run at least twice, usually thrice the amount of matches and all had considerable time too. Not sure if they still do that.

I get it from ticket POV though. You want your money’s worth. WWE ticket pricing has certainly skyrocketed over the years, especially for a big 4 event.

Yeah AEW shows are still arguably TOO long tbh. And there’s no downtime really either, just match after match.

A sweet spot would probably be about 6 or 7 on their Ppvs as they are prone to going very long. Despite them being continuously very high quality it can be tiring when it hits 4am and the main event hasn’t even started yet lol.

I remember cases when I was watching where it devalued the main event quite a bit and by the time main event time came, you just wanted it to be over with.

Yeah for sure, sometimes by the time the main event rolls round the crowds tired and you’re struggling to stay awake watching cause it’s been going on since midnight.

At the moment Full Gear on Saturday has 7 main show matches and 2 random throwaway matches on the pre show. I hope it stays like that tbh.

Damning with faint praise :joy:

Let’s be honest, while RAW has been consistently the better show compared to Smackdown, they just haven’t had a truly all-around great show since going to Netflix.
Some good moments here and there of course but I think the last period I can remember some great RAW episodes were all the way back to that Wrestlemania build with The Rock around.

I have seen somewhere that Smackdown attendance has dropped off significantly compared to previous years. I wonder if that’s a concern for them. Cody can’t carry that show alone.

I’ve just remembered, I saw yesterday that Ariel will be interviewing Tony Khan?

Didn’t those two have a very public fallout not too long ago? I presume this is to advertise Full Gear(I’ll be honest, I didn’t realise it was on until you mentioned it).

Been a long time since wacky Tony Khan made an appearance. I imagine Ariel won’t why away from asking the tough questions.
