You know it’s bad when AEW is getting cooked online by AEW fans themselves. :santi:

The WWE continues to deliver like no other with the bloodline storyline. Has to rival the Daniel Bryan rise for best of the last decade.

When they get it right, they really do nail it.

That’s what years of putting your body through shit does to you. Jeff was always a a glorified stuntman

Thread needs spoiler alerts FFS

My bad @DavidHillier , I’m an idiot.

It was more the WWE one. Yours was just bloopers.

Wait, so are you into the current WWE stuff then? :eyes:

I watch both lots of PPVs.

Night of Champions tonight, Double or Nothing tomorrow.

  • Tony announcing it like he is a fucking hostage on cocaine (suspect one of these is at least true). :arteta:
  • The way he just drops CM Punk’s name and the biggest reaction we’ve heard in months in AEW ensues. :arteta2:
  • The mixed reactions, the crowd looking at each other. :arteta3:

That return promo will go nuclear.

It’s the Mbappe picture that really makes that post.

Khan does look like someone’s got a gun on his family and he’s reading off an autocue :joy:

Spoiler tags in this thread are really not needed, btw

The hardcore section of the aew fanbase will lap it up but can’t imagine it will interest many casuals (I include myself in that as only really watch the small YouTube clips nowadays). The only way to reignite that spark is to head to the big league for a year or two before he calls it a day.

If he was anywhere remotely near a good wrestler, this theme tune would be the greatest ever.

In-ring ability maketh the man('s walk on music)

Edge casually stole that music and made it his btw.

A bit like how Roman was the one that kept on a very slightly altered version of the The Shield’s theme.

I watched most of Survivor Series 96 after reading some of @Josh’s recent reviews here. I really had forgotten how gimmicky wwf still was at that point. Fake Razor and Diesel…yikes.

The match between Bret Hart and Stone Cold was technically brilliant but kinda boring. Couple more to go yet but that’s probably the highlight…

Sid vs Shawn is a pleasant surprise. Finish is a bit naff but Shawn gets the best out of Sid

I watched a video about how 1995 was the worst year for WWF. I personally dunno if any other years were as bad, but they went through the year and all the different PPVs, and it seemed pretty damn awful.

Bam Bam Bigelow vs an NFL player as the Wrestlemania main event??? :joy:

Rumours are a new WWE title is being unveiled on Smackdown tonight to replace Roman’s two belts.

In much the same vein as the new world heavyweight title, I imagine it’ll be fairly retro looking, perhaps reminiscent of the winged eagle but with a dirty great WWE logo plastered over the middle of it ruining the effect :grinning:

So, are they merging the two titles or is it just gonna replace one of the two titles?

Canadian Stampede is my next PPV. One of my favs @DavidHillier
