Yeah I do like Joe in the ring tbf. He’s another one WWE could have used as a main eventer far more than they did.

Just finished Survivor Series 96 btw. Bret vs Austin was incredible. Sid vs Shawn was great as well. Sid was more over than HBK who was getting booed all match

First time I watched Bret and Austin’s survivor series match. Looking forward to Mania 13, I have seen that match but not since I was a kid

Sounds about right from new york crowds of that time. I want to say 6 years down the line Michaels title win in the same arena was well received and a complete U-turn from SS 96, but not sure if I’m misremembering the reaction he got?
From what I recall, the SS96 match was a longer one but still a banger.
Even the match they had at In Your House 14 to almost round off the rivalry- magnifique!
