Just to quickly follow up that the 9/11 storyline was apparently to include Mustafa Ali revealing himself as a mastermind of the attacks despite having been 6 at the time.

Also in the lawsuit is apparently a pitch that was made for Shane Thorne, in a Crocodile Dundee style gimmick to hunt wrestlers backstage for sport and his principle target to have been black wrestler Reggie, whom he would regularly hunt for sport before capturing and beating him. The writer involved apparently responded to being told the idea was racist with something like “is that a bad thing?”

Fucking hell. What a company.

Apparently they’re gonna hand out new championships for tag teams and the women as well. My head hurts. They’re going back to the WWE and World distinction.

WWE were finally figuring it out and they just messed everything up for no reason.
AEW’s is unwatchable.
What are we supposed to turn to, fucking Impact?

I guess there’s always wrestling from the past. :santi:

How have WWE messed it up? They got like 20+ tag teams across the 3 brands. Splitting the tag titles it the best thing that could happen

Plus the penny designs for the tag belts suck lol

I always liked the WWE and World distinction. It’s better than red and blue. I do find it difficult to care about 2 tag championships but if you’re going for a harder brand split it has to happen.

There hasn’t been an overhaul of belt design for around a decade so it’s definitely due.

NXT isn’t really in the conversation anymore though. They’ve got their own thing down there.

We’re looking at 4-5 legitimate tag teams on the main roster.

I don’t see them staying loyal to the main roster brand split anyway. They never do.

Incidentally I think there will also be a new design incoming for the WWE championship which will incorporate the universal title into it. If I had to guess, like the new world title it’ll have some kind of winged eagle influence but with the big WWE logo in the middle.

You lot checking the Draft today? Expecting ang surprises?

I may have see one spoiler a while ago… :eyes:

Nah, I didn’t even realise it was today.

Bret Hart in the mid card/upper mid, absolute state of 1995.

It weren’t a bad match tbf. 1995 WWF’s problem is they have no top heels. Says a lot when they’re pushing Mabel and Sid to be serious contenders to Diesel’s title run.

Lol, they introduced a free agent concept in this. I love how the best assets get left undrafted. Are these dudes supposed to float between rosters now?

“Best assets”

Really?

Yeah.

I guess they’re gonna do some “hottest free agent” stuff with Omos and Von Wagner.
On Ziggler and Ali, they’ve been slowly building to it but I think they’re finally gonna make them a tag. Gonna be some Slater and Rhino underdog story. They will probably be told they can only be drafted as a tag.
