Bret Hart Was Quite Good

For those confused watch the first segment of AEW Dynamite. That shall add more context.

Jim Cornette and Brian Last are gonna be feasting on this. Their claims about certain individuals seem to be validated unless this is some elaborate work which you can’t discount when Punk is involved.

  • Punk randomly called out Page yesterday and pretty much embarrassed him. There are suggestions that was off the script.
  • Page and Punk have beef that’s rooting from Punk’s beef with Colt Cabana.
  • Punk’s callout was a direct reaction to Page going off the script during their feud in a promo battle back in May I believe where Page made a promo that kinda made no sense
  • AEW Originals and ex-WWE guys have beef.
  • CM Punk is notoriously close to FTR, who seem to have beef with the Young Bucks
  • Cornette and Last have suggested before that Omega, The Bucks and Page aren’t the nice people they pretend to be and in a few years we’ll hear all about it
  • A lot of people were expecting the Young Bucks and FTR to face off so FTR can get the AEW Tag Belts.
  • Young Bucks instead put the titles on Swerve and Lee and are now involved with the Trios tournament
  • There’s a feeling Bucks are ducking putting FTR over in the rubber match

There’s a section of wrestling fans that discredit Cornette and attribute his ideas and thoughts to being just an old man out of touch with the product but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

It blows my mind that people discredit him. He’s worked for Crockett, WCW, WWF, OVW, TNA, ROH, Smoky Mountain. He has worked in so many eras from the territory days through to laying the foundations for the Ruthless Aggression when he oversaw the development of the famous OVW class. He worked in the post WCW world at the two biggest promotions that have existed since WCW closed (until AEW).

Cornette knows it’s a different era and doesn’t try to push territory style wrestling. What he does do is question the illogical things AEW and WWE do and he does so in a way where he’s actually very rarely wrong.

Punk is a moody bitch but he’s a veteran and someone who paid his dues to get where he is right now. He’s the most credible champion AEW have had and will have for a long time. If he’s calling out some of this crap then people better open their eyes quickly because AEW is a stagnant as it’s been since it’s inception

Feels like there’s been more rumours and leaks coming out of the AEW locker room than ever before.

Nah, don’t you remember the period where leaks about the EVPs falling out and Tony Khan taking power away from them?
The leaks back then were crazy. Poor Brandi caught all of it.
That was the start of the crowd turning on Cody.

I wonder if the crowd follows suit with Punk for daring to defy them as well.
Does feel a bit of a perfect timing though considering Punk we’re gonna get the long awaited Punk heel turn soon.

You think it’s a work? I am starting to consider it to be fair.
Punk has been trending since Wednesday.

There’s a big match on Wednesday and all this spotlight certainly ain’t bad.

If I can point one negative here is that there’s only two people in that locker room that can make waves like this, one is Punk and the other is MJF.
The others better step up.

Nah it’s just a legendary quote lol

Yeah, Hulk Hogan was a great actor. Is he a wrestling fan?

Loved him Thunder in Paradise.

Young Bucks have to be 2 of the most annoying cunts on the entire planet

JR call when Hogan drops the leg on Rock at Mania X8 = best call in wrestling history.

“He beat Andre The Giant with that move!!”

JR made everything seem so much bigger than it was. The :goat:

I would like to see that.
Question is, what theme song to use?
He’s associated with so many bangers.

Bad News Barrett. That gimmick was brilliant.

Wade Barrett was always great. Shame injuries fucked him up.

I don’t think there has ever been an english WWE Champion, has there? Thought he was gonna be the one, then Neville(Pac) but he’s gone.

Love this geezer. Another one ruined by WWE and not given the right climax to his push. Barrett, Damien Sandow, Samoa Joe, Robert Roode.

When they’re hot, they let them simmer and cool, rather than bring them to the boil.

Another excellent Raw last night. Triple H’s influence is most clearly visible in the ring at the moment where the quality has come up massively. Matches have pace, intensity and unpredictability now.

Chad Gable Vs Kevin Owens wouldn’t have gotten on the show a few weeks ago. It was a massive highlight last night.

My only criticism so far is that there are too many cold matches and people with no visible direction so far.

Need to integrate people into storylines. I guess that’s where 3 hours of TV hinders the show. Easy to book good storylines in 1 hour of weekly TV but 3 hours makes it hard unless you drop the quality and go for quantity.

Btw, this was easily my favourite moment from the show:

Their match was a banger too.
