Him making the squad shouldnât even be a discussion. The guy has to start for England. He is the most in-form English defender currently.
Well if he needs to get a few mistakes out of his system, England is the team to do it for.

At Euro 2020/21 it was Harry Maguire and John Stones. And theyâre not better than him.

I think they will both make the squad now. But whether they play is another matter. Southgate goes on about loyalty, but at the end of the day playing shit out of form players isnât going to get us far. Heâll get so much stick if he doesnât pick them and his popularity is already on the wane.

Isnât White being left out because he hasnât been playing CB for us since last season?
Heâs basically a RB now and Southgate prefers others.
Reiss James is injured for at least the group games.
Ben White has been a better right back than any other options.
Plus his versatility of playing both CB & RB alone should get him into the squad
I think all our RBs are dead. And even if he is a RB, still arguably the best one in the PL right now. I imagine Trippier will get the nod now unless he plays LB or something tho.
Itâs probably more like Southgate just doesnât like him for whatever reason. International managers seem to do shit like this.
We also like to play Walker at RCB when we roll with a back 3, surely a dream role to stick our boy into.

He can play across the line though, so if that was the reason itâs rubbish. And as Craig said, we sometimes play a back 3, which White could also slot easily into.
I actually recall it being said White wasnât selected because he was injured for last England squad. And then Arteta came out and was like âno heâs not. He is completely fine.â 
I would have him in the squad on his current form 100%, anything else is a mistake, heâs been brilliant and very consistent, lately.

Southgate picking Maguire shows that he really doesnât put much stock into a players club form.

Yeah itâs the same everywhere.
The Danish national manager has said he doesnât pick players on form but on trust which is why shitters like Yussuf Poulsen and Braithwaite always get picked despite there being much more talented and on form players out there like OâRiley and Højlund who just havenât âearnedâ their spot yet.
But how will they if the trustworthy shitters keep them out?!

The USA coach got himself twisted is knots about this during pressers last window. He picked guys he liked who were playing poorly and justified it because of prior decent form but conveniently left guys out who were playing well because they hadnât shown enough.

Right back is Englandâs most stacked position. James, Trent and Walker are amongst the worldâs best. Trippier is bloody good as well. I can understand White being behind those four as a right back even if he has been outperforming them this season. No way should be not be in the squad though as heâs the third best CB after Tomori and Stones and is able to play in a back 3 or 5.
Tomori is not having a good season though. So on current form, White is ahead of him.
